Note from Debbie Horsky!
Thank you to everyone
who assisted my dad, Al Horsky, in his attempt to participate in
the Alumni Band festivities this past week at the age of 85. He
enjoys seeing not only his former students and their families,
but also students who participated in the music program before
and after his tenure as the LHS band director. Unfortunately,
after attending the Tuesday and Thursday evening rehearsals, a
sudden and unexpected health issue arose, making it impossible
for him to attend Friday's performance. My thanks goes out to
but is not limited to the following people: Jeff North, Pam
Price, and the entire instrumental music staff for their
"special arrangements" to accomodate these unusual
circumstances, Dr. Doug Carr and Nurse Kim for your caring
advice throughout the week, all the alumni participants for your
thoughts and prayers, Jeff Dickerson for your tasteful
announcements about Dad's absence from the game, Ann Irvin for
your heartfelt support, and Dick and Sandi Erb for keeping a
watchful eye on my dad not only this week, but on a regular
basis. This experience has reinforced my belief that the
compassion of the people of Logan cannot be surpassed.
